I thought the answer to no. 3 was a cat? It walks on all four feet in the morning, at 2 in the afternoon, even awake at 3 at night.

It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
    And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
    Ends life, kills laughter.

An eye in a blue face
Saw an eye in a green face.
'That eye is like to this eye'
    Said the first eye,
    'But in low place
    Not in high place.'

Damn. Sphinxes are pretty cute. At least when she wasn't making her angry face. I know an animal I WOULD be willing to kiss. A sphinx. Maybe I could stop her from killing herself and talk her into being my pet. Poor lonely sphinx, she just needed some affection probably. Also, mutters? Mutters? Since when does the wind "mutter"? A riddle that you can't solve, when you hear the answer, should make you say ooooooohhhh, not "the wind doesn't mutter".
