Assassin’s Creed Origins All Papyrus Puzzle Solutions & Locations

This guide shows all Papyrus Puzzle Solutions & Locations in Assassin’s Creed Origins. There are 25 Papyrus Puzzles. Finding and solving them grants you rare/legendary gear, money and XP. Each Papyrus Puzzle unlocks at least one purple or yellow gear piece (random which one you get). They only take 5-10 minutes to do. It’s by far the best way to get good gear quickly. The gear automatically scales to your level!

The Papyrus Puzzles are shown as question marks on the map. When you go near them it reveals the Papyrus icon. It doesn’t give you an exact location, just a general search area. You can scan by pressing D-Pad up. After locating the Papyrus Puzzle it will be placed in your inventory (under “Papyri”).
Scrolling over the Papyrus shows you a cryptic riddle in text form. Based on these text hints you must find a certain location in the game world. There you will find a hidden treasure. Picking up the treasures then gives you a purple/yellow piece of gear and finishes the Papyrus Riddle.

You can do all of these at any time after finishing the Siwa main quests (starting area). After this the entire map opens up for free roam. It’s also a good way to level up quickly and get cash / better gear in the process.

Solving one Papyrus Puzzle unlocks the trophy “Elementary, My Dear Bayek”.
Please note that there’s also “Hieroglyph Papyrus” during certain side quests, but those don’t give special rewards and are not included in this guide. This video is for the open world Papyrus only (because those give you rewards and the Hieroglyph versions do not). The Hieroglyph Papayri are side quest specific and only needed to advance their respective quests.
