That scene where the MIB saves Lawrence's family I feel is the starting point of his transformation back to William.

This whole show fails to address the soul… They cannot duplicate someone's soul… The soul is something that cannot be copied…

Delos and Bernard both beat Abernathy as malfunctioning hosts. Abernathy was good, but those 2 in this episode were truly award-worthy.

You should stop doing your show on the 2007 doctor who tardis art and do it somewhere more up to date. The color gold is so passé to review in front of.

Copying someone's mind and putting it in a synthetic body won't make them immortal. It just means there will be a host with your memories who might be immortal, but it still won't be them, it doesn't have their soul. A person is more than simply their memories and personality, when they die the host won't receive their soul. Depending on your view, the host would have it's own soul or none at all.

Best episode of the season so far! James Delos's consciousness was transferred into a host body – the mind wasn't a copy, only the body was. That's what is extra ambitious and horrifying about it. We've wanted to transfer consciousness as a way to live forever for decades so it makes sense that Delos the company would be pursuing that. I suspect the new build Bernard went to make under Ford's control was a Ford host to place his consciousness into but I could be wrong idk lol.

31:00– love that deep interpretation of Bernard Aaron. Pretty good insight there. I think they are all bots except Ford who isn't actually dead. 42:20– ford is telling him to look backward not forward because I believe Ford is trying to teach William to revert back to good white hat William and realize bot or human- they each have merits in life

Am I the only one who saw the discrepancy when William said in season 1 his wife died of an overdose, and this episode where (what I believe is his wife) was dead in a bathtub filled with blood and water as in she committed suicide by slitting her wrists or someone killed her?? I find that odd just like I find it odd that everytime William sits at a table he takes his gun apart (loop). Either its a bad habit or he has been a host for a while now that Ford has used him to manipulate the outside world (farfetched i know).
I think when he told Lawrence that he didn't recall speaking of his daughter he meant in that current loop of Lawrence, observing that Lawrence must remember all of his loops.
Funny thing is this episode is a twist on when William visited the town and danced with Lawrence's wife, this time it was the major (i forgot his name). Ford is watching everything Bill has done from jump and using his data capturing against him.
I cant wait to see where this goes!

i have a theory: William's daughter wanted to visit westworld to find out what it is so special about it, why is does William care so much about this world so much to the point of neglecting his family. in the end she ended up liking it like her dad. sorry for the bad formulation

William needs to become a good guy again. That's what Ford means when he keeps saying he needs to go to the beginning and all that. And why those people can help him now because they chose to do so. He didnt force them.

If the Man In Black is like Delos a clone and this game of Fords is a test. If he wins the new company can offer eternal life. I think the core Bernard just made was Williams wife or Ford.

The book with the map showed the tracks on it going east west. The facility on the map is south of the tracks. Williams tracks would lead to it. North south.

Have a feeling William died and the great game is getting William (now a host) to accept his reality like they couldnt get James Delos to do. Instead of just having him in a room he's roaming Westworld.

Not Cupcakes LMBO but you guys already know that 😛 It's the Brain of the Robots or Hosts…It's like our Brains…remember at the beginning of Season too the guy cut one out and screwed into the laptop and watched the video of what the host last saw? It's red cause it's human memories…not programs like the others…they are trying to transfer successfully a human mind and all their thoughts and memories intact, into a hosts body so they could continue living and hypothetically never die…they can always be kept alive…as you saw though, there are some kinks…

Host James Delos timeline approximate: Current date 2052. William goes to Westworld in 2022 hasn't yet married Juliette( I assume they didn't have kid out of wedlock ). Convinces James Delos to invest more in Westworld about the same time 2022. In about 2027 Williams takes over. Delos sick but still alive( Emily/Grace is about 4 or 5 ). So the earliest Delos dies is about 2027. The second time we see William visit Delos William says it's been 7 years so that is 2034. The final visit is after Juliette kills herself which is in 2051 one year before William's current visit to Westworld. So I would say the last Delos visit happened during Williams current visit.

What if the man in black is a host? Like the scene with Lawrance, he has been there before in season 1. What if the 149 times with Delos was cuz he wanted to see how it goes before he tries it on himself. After all he owns thr company and like Delos said when he died if you aim to cheat the devil you owe him something. and what lawrence’ daughter said about moving forward is the wrong direction

no if its a perfect copy… and you die. and he is living your life if it has a all the aspects of you, then it becomes you.. cuz based on current knowledge, the you is resides in your brain ( not in the heart) so even its not your real body, if its your "essence" then it is you.. its not a question of theology or philosophy it's purely a scientific…..

James Delos replica isn't a host, and Bernard is. Bernard points out that the brains that they are building for James Delos aren't based on code or programming like the hosts control units are. With James Delos they are literally uploading human consciousness and sticking them inside of a host body.

But wasn't Bernard shot in the head in the last season? He got patched up by Maeve and Felix and probably they didn't do the best of jobs. Maybe the damage was greater than it appeared?… honestly this is why I didn't bother to think much about Elsie's line about how Bernard's brain looked like… but seeing the importance it was given, I'm starting to think I could be missing something. Or maybe the Bernard Maeve found is not the same as the one who shot himself in the head?

Jimmi Simpson and Ed Harris did do the scenes together. I believe Lisa Joy mentioned they watched eachother perform.

Re: Railroad Ties It is my guess that the railroad ties situation was simply another example of the narrative being played out beyond the normal reset and resupply point. The unwoke hosts are simply continuing their narrative as they understand it. . .and with what they have on hand.

Maybe the control unit was Ford (I know, groundbreaking). Instead of uploading himself to a host body to become a hybrid, he had Bernard place his mind in the "Red Room" (think it's the Cradle) and upload it to the entirety of Delos' six parks.

It would fit into his idea of beating death by "becoming music" instead of the normal idea of immortality.
