With the first month of the new year ending soon, I would love to hear about the resolutions you made. What do you plan on changing in 2010? What goals do you have for yourself?
2009 was a tough year for me, but it was also a learning year. I learned a lot about myself and have grown into a more aware person in a matter of months. The greatest thing I have learned is that positive thinking can get you much more than even the smallest negative thought. If you think you can not do something, guess what, you will not. One of my resolutions, not a new year's resolution but a life resolution, is "never say can not". Can not is no longer in my vocabulary. If you think you can not do something no one else will believe you can do it either. Can not sets boundaries and limits. Why limit yourself? Confucius says, "He who says he can and he who says he can not are both usually right" There is nothing you CAN NOT do! This leads into my next life resolution, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
Everyone has the ability to be great! Sadly, very few become so. This is because many of us do not believe in ourselves. Our minds are very complex and are programmed to be housed inside a great human being. We should all strive to tap into our own greatness. Now, do not get me wrong, I do not think greatness is the same for everyone. We all have special individuals that make us unique. Get to know yourself, understand what interests you and be great at it. If you write, believe you will be a great author. If you sing, believe you will be on TV one day promoting your new album. If you care about others, find out how you can be a great humanitarian. The world is filled with opportunities for you to become great at what you are passionate about. Find your passion and set out to become the person you were supposed to be. Believe in yourself everyday and greatness will soon be a part of who you are.
Tell me about your New Year's resolution or any goal you have set for yourself this year. What do you want to do to become a better person? What are your goals for becoming great?
