That looks so fun! I've been thinking about trying to make some story notebooks for my stories, but I feel so overwhelmed! Haha. I'm such a perfectionist. I have a terrible tendency to never use my notebooks because I don't want to mess them up. sigh Your awesome inspiration journals (and sighthound lady's as well) are pushing me to get over that though! I hope you'll do a video of you putting the pictures in sometime. I'd love to see how you make some pages!

I just want to say that Ive been quietly watching your videos for years now and you are SUCH an inspiration to me! Your stories and characters are beautiful and rich and the way you present your stories and all the innovative ways you go about your art is just so inspiring and fun and has broadened my horizon many times! So thank you Anne! Thank you for all that you share and create and say and do. Your videos lift me up. Thank you 🙂

I can not express how happy it makes me to see you brimming with joy. I am really particular about my books too, and when you find just the perfect thing it is a little slice of heaven. Long may your inspiration and excitement continue. <3

I usually hate writing because I'm lazy but this video and Denali Wind's journal video are so inspiring to me. I really want to start keeping a sort of story journal now. I never thought of the possibility of mixed media like this. It's so free and open and I find that amazing.

I'm in awe of this, Anne! I love your creativity. You are so inspiring to me on so many levels. This video especially inspires me for my paper crafting which is one of my passions. This gives me an idea of how I could connect that passion to my other passion of dolls and writing stories.
I have to ask you: what glue or adhesive do you use to stick the pictures down? I would be afraid to ruin them with a glue that makes things wrinkly. And also what kind of paint and gesso do you use?
Thank you for sharing with us. And please share more of what you have written in there, especially that erasure poem!

What a fantastic idea! I always find it hard to work in a clean expensive book because I want it to remain perfect and don’t want to make a mess so this would be perfect for me. Thanks for sharing!

This is so COOL. This is SUPER inspiring! Man, I wish I could do that with my stories, even though they're not in a format that would gel well with this method….

I'm so excited for the couples! I absolutely love lesbians (( I'm one too, so maybe that explains it )) and my two favorite girls in the story being a couple?! So exciting!

My Olathe, Opal, needs her girl Canaria to be shelled. I was SO excited to receive Opal, and now that all the characters in her own little story are drawn, the girl I paired her off with, Canaria, is my next target. I may make her a Feeple60 of some sort? That's what I've had my eye on. Though the way I've drawn her, Canaria is really skinny and she has a very…unique face, ha ha.

And the supernatural castle is super cool, too! And not far off from what goes on in the real Irish castles. My paternal grandparents went to Ireland and snapped some really cool supernatural photographs over there. My Dad has the originals! And this was way before Photoshop. They went to a castle called Bunratty Castle and they took a picture of my Grandpa Craig conducting energy with a fork! There was also another location they went to – I think it was another castle – and there's a small apparition of energy in the photo! Really cool stuff! The last supernatural photo they took was supposed to be of a lake, but the face of a man appeared in front of the lens! You can still see the lake, but this person must have had an attachment to the location. Maybe a fisherman?

Anyway, if you think you'd like to see these and // or that they'd be useful, I'd be more than happy to scan them for you and send them your way!

What wonderful way to use old and out dated text books and other books to keep from just tossing them out, I love this. Thank you so much for sharing this. I can not agree with you more the cost of a single hardbound journal the size of a encyclopedia can be outrageous.

That’s turning out so gorgeously ❤️ I love when people repurpose books like that, and I’m sure the smell and texture of the books just adds to how there you feel working with the story

I love this! I started bullet journaling and have a monthly creative page sorta like a mood board for the month.
But I've never consider making a physical mood board for my doll characters. I normally just save a bunch of links online which gets kind of crazy, haha. How fun!! 😀

I love book smells too! It’s my favorite scent. I really love your inspiration books, it is a cool idea. I try to keep track of my inspiration photos on Pinterest and there are tons of folders but I do like the idea of the physical copy you can flip through even when you are out and about. I love your new characters for your story. I can’t wait to hear more about their story.

My mom spent allot of time with us cutting out things from magazines that meant something to us kids. We would then put them into a large family photo album. This was great to see! Now I just browse the internet and save image! Lol. Thanks for sharing!

You just fixed so many issues I've been having with telling my story. I hate writing 3rd person omniscient but jumping from person to person is a necessary part of my story. Because it's really the story of Ishmarl, anarchist, Uriel, a power hungry sadist, Michael, the righteous general, Lucifer, a freedom fighter and Sammael,a victim who turned himself into a monster to survive and who's currently healing. It's the story of a four way war and the man (angel actually) caught in the middle. It's one timeline with overlaps and skips and contradictions because the PoVs tell their version of events. History is supposed written by the winners… but nobody wins because bitter are the wars between brothers. This is a long way of saying the each PoV is going to have their own "diary entries" but the main character is Sammael because he's the one caught in the middle. Tl;dr he's going to get a journal as a kind of art therapy.
