The hen’s party is a traditional celebration that many brides-to-be will enjoy before they walk down the aisle. While some modern day brides opt to cut loose with a wild and raunchy night of partying, plenty of brides are keener to celebrate with a classy hen’s party minus the sexy and suggestive theming. If you’re organising a classy hens night or hens party and are in need of some inspiration, these hens party games are perfect for a day or night of fun without being overly risqué or suggestive.
Great Interactive Hens Party Games
Often your hens party will include ladies from different circles who may not have met each other previously. Starting your hen’s party with some simple games that get people chatting and mingling is a great idea, and also helps your guests to relax and get to know each other without any pressure or awkwardness.
Do You Know The Bride?
For this game, the bride writes a list of about 20 questions about herself, which is then given to each of the guests. Each hen then answers the questions as best they can. Once all the guests are finished answering the questionnaire, the bride goes through the questions one by one asking each guest to read out their answers as they go and correct them! Whoever has the most correct answers wins, and the bride can keep the questionnaires as a memento of the night. This is a great way for guests to get an idea of how well everyone knows the bride and can also highlight interesting facts or anecdotes that they may have.
How Well Does The Bride Know Her Future Hubby?
This game is great to give all the hens an insight into the bride and groom’s relationship and history together with potential for plenty of laughs. Prior to the party, the hens party organiser gets in touch with the groom with a list of questions that he needs to answer. At the hens party each guest can then ask the bride a question and compare their answer to the one given by the groom to see how well they really know each other! Questions can be about anything, and you can also spice this game up with some naughty questions if you like. Some examples include:
- How and where did they first meet?
- What is his favourite food or meal?
- If he could be any animal what would it be?
- What is his favourite movie catchphrase?
- What hobby does he enjoy most in his spare time?
- If he could have any super power what would he choose?
- If he was stranded on a deserted island what 3 things would he take with him?
- If he could go anywhere in the world where would he go?
Pin The Bouquet On The Bride
To play this game, you’ll need a large picture (or even a sketch if you’re artistic!) of the bride which is attached to a wall or pin board, as well as a blindfold, and a flower on a pin/blu tack. Each guest is blindfolded and then spun around three times. They then try to pin the flower to the bride’s hand on the picture. Mark each guest’s attempt on the poster, with the closest person to the hand being the winner. If you want to make the game more interesting you can give guests a shot of champagne or a cocktail before you spin them around!
Guess The Celebrity Bride
Make a list of famous brides (either real people or fictional characters) on small pieces of paper and put them in a bowl. Each guest picks a name from the bowl and without looking at it sticks it on their forehead. Everyone then gets to ask a Yes/No question to determine who they are (such as “Am I a fictional character?”), and gets to continue asking questions so long as they get a Yes answer. When the answer to their question is No, you move onto the next person. Guests can take a guess at their bride name, but three wrong guesses puts you out of the game. The first person to guess their bride name is the winner. Some bride ideas to get you started include Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson, Kate Middleton and Cinderella.
Charades is a classic game that everyone knows! For a great hens party game you can put a twist on the classic game where every movie, song or book must be wedding related. Some charade ideas include “The Wedding Singer”, “Four Weddings and a Funeral”, “My Best Friend’s Wedding”, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, “27 Dresses” and “Wedding Crashers”.
These hens party ideas are just a few to get you started with your hens party planning. All hen’s party games should be fun and inclusive so all of the guests – including the bride – have a good time.
The games we’ve included here are great for a classy hens party, but if you want to make them a bit more naughty there are always options to spice things up a bit! Most of these games also require very little in terms of what you need to play, making them ideal if you’re having a destination hens party and are staying at a hotel or resort.
