We were in our senior year at WHS and Willow went to the prom with Paul and I went with Lee and when this song came out it moved our generation forward from the very first song note. We had the best class any High School could ask for and it brings back so many good memories! … greg

In the era of AM radio, this song made many of our memories of that era. There were many. Why does it seem todays music sucks so bad. Is it free music online so artists don't make the money that keeps them going or just a crap society that does not inspire?

On this day in 1966 {May 26th} the Righteous Brothers performed "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration"* on the Dick Clark produced ABC-TV network weekday-afternoon program 'Where The Action Is'…
At the time the song was at #33 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; seven weeks earlier it had peaked at #1 {for 3 weeks} and it spent 13 weeks on the Top 100…
And on April 25th, 1966 it peaked at #2 {for 1 week} on the Canadian RPM Weekly Singles chart, the week it was at #2, the #1 record for that week was "Good Lovin'" by The Young Rascals…
Between 1963 and 1990 the 'not for real' brothers had twenty-three songs on the Hot Top 100 chart; six made the Top 10 with two reaching #1, their other #1 record was "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" for 2 weeks on January 31st, 1965…
*The B-side of "Soul & Inspiration" was titled "B-Side Blues", and of course it's available on You Tube…

Let's all start a petition and demand that the music industry bring back this kind of music again! Find a couple of sexy, super talented white boys who can sing real soul and this black woman would buy it!

My parents exposed me to this music growing up. There's no competition between music like this and much of the overrated material we hear today.

I'm a gay senior, and my dearly deceased, whom I lost after 18 years of companionship, still comes to me in this song
