Given what we know today about margarine, this is a commercial loaded with unintentional irony

What blows my mind is how almost nobody back in the 70s saw this commercial and questioned whether an artificial fat made in a laboratory was really better for their waists, hearts, and arteries than a fat that came from Mother Nature.  Fast forward four decades and obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes are at all time highs and keep going up, even as we are eating less animal fat than ever before.  New research is slowly but surely vindicating saturated animal fats and pointing the finger for obesity and heart disease at sugar and refined carbs.  Meanwhile, it's been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that the hydrogenated oils that most margarines are made from are the most artery-clogging and heart-damaging fats of all.  And yet, in spite of this, a recent article on the Mayo Clinic website comparing the nutritional value of butter and margarine said in the very first sentence that margarine was better for the heart.  Wake up people, you've been duped!

Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel refused to pay her ridiculously high royalty fees so that's why you don't see her anymore.

Wait a minute.. wait one damn cotton pickin minute. That is not how Goldilocks's story went. Its was the bears who noticed the porridge had been eaten.. not Goldilocks so mother nature works for the illuminati.. Damn!!!! 🙂 🙂 :-).

There wasn't even the term "mother nature" before this character.

Sad what inane things can shape our world and influence our thinking.

She started out young & sweet here & later on became more Endora-like (Agnes Moorhead's character on Bewitched). I liked all these commercials.

I like how she is reading a bedtime story to the animals starting with "And Goldilocks said 'who's been eating MY porridge'" LOL!  Reversing the three bears story, too funny.

Don't forget the 80s as well. I think the 80s can be considered the singularity of pop culture that everything eventually comes back around to.

I was just thinking about this commercial a couple days ago, and determined that it needs redone so that instead of summoning lightning, she touches the voice over guy on the chest and makes him drop dead of a heart attack.

The BEST commercials, regardless of the product(s), were in the 1960's and 70's. Now, it just a lot of crap we see.
