I need to moisturize at least every other day, is that normal? I have been watching videos and many ppl only moisturize once or twice a week.

I feel like I have to moisturize my hair every hour. Why is it so dry I wonder. Maybe I should use cream instead of just black caster oil and water, because it is not doing it. After like an hour it be back to Sahara desert dryness. At this point Velcro feels softer than my hair right now.

I have a full container of the thin daily moisturizer and only used it barely once, BARELY. My hair is too fine for that, who wants it?

OMG! When you let your puff out I just about hit the floor!! Wow it has grown! Are you doing any thing different now for growth? I'm sure the prenatal vitamins helped too!

Hi Traeh! I am new to your channel and like your relatable and educational approach. I have been a natural for the past 17 years. I had long dreads till I 'big chopped' them 2 years ago. My hair is low porosity/high denisty/with all the type 4s in my crown girl. The struggle is real. Moisturising your hair as a Caribbean girl (a girl living in the Caribbean) can be challenging though. I mostly wear my hair in puffs/faux mohawks/mini twist and braids or crotchet braids. My hair though it's bleached is healthy. Ik it should be drier than usual, but for me not so much. It may sound cray cray but my hair was dryer when I had my original melanin than how it is now.
Anyways, it's kinda hard being a natural in my country. GOOD products are limited unless u order online and wait for your goodies to be shipped and even then because of the differnces in climate the product may still not work in a Caribbean natural's hair like it would for you all in North America. I repeat the struggle is real.
So to cope I became resilient and inventive. I have learned lots of You Tube DIYs and put my own spins on (buttercreams, hair oils, spritz) plus living a healthy lifestyle and following You Tube naturalistsas like yourself is what gives me the edge to my healthy natural hair journey.
Maybe u can suggest some products for us Caribbean girls or do a lil segment on climates and how it affects hair.
Keep up the great, no excellent work and keep on being YOU.
    Congrats on your new baby.
Blessings to you and your family!!!
Love from Trinidad, West Indies. 😘😘

Traeh, can you do a tutorial on how you wear your hair in the Afro. I love that look but it’s so hard to achieve it.
