It is the world’s most mysterious manuscript. A book, written by an unknown author, illustrated with pictures that are as bizarre as they are puzzling — and written in a language that even the best cryptographers have been unable to decode. No wonder that this script even has a part in Dan Brown’s latest bestseller “The Lost Symbol”.

Hey Idiots. These are ramblings of a seriously mentally ill person. There is nothing to decipher. Nothing to decode……..nothing….just a bunch of fucked up scribbles from a poor fucked up man.

One must go back and seek the knowledge of the time, verify and find the languages of the era, seek all information available on the author, if that would be possible, probably with the aide of the private libraries of the different orders, the background needed to understand the book is probably there, in one of those libraries.
the authors background is the clue.

OK; I was ready to give this documentary a go and was finding it somewhat interesting as it appears that it might pertain to women, pregnancy etc and contained the description of types of herbal remedies possibly related to stages of life.
But the narrators' continued use of masculine pronouns in regard to the author really started to piss me off after about 30 minutes.

There is a very high likelihood that this manuscript was penned by a WOMAN which would explain a number of its' mysteries.
Use of code: so patriarchal church and statesmen could not read it and point at the author or anyone who used this book as being a witch/heretic or just a smart woman who could read (not really acceptable before the 17th century in many parts of the world).

I mean: a book seemingly about women and probably related medicine and they haven't explored the idea that it could have been written by a woman, possibly in a code other women may have known about (nuns, perhaps?).

Please handle old and valuable books or other historical objects with gloves so the oil and dna from your hands doesn't get on the objects. Duh.

Might be whole new language which been created for coded msgs or other civilization. Then your decoding technique obviously fails.

Forgive me if I am missing something here, but if the parchment was radiocarbon dated to 1400s… how does that mean that the manuscript wasn't created later? Maybe the author just used older parchment?

Funny how modern researchers forget about the Moorish history and ancient black African/Asian/Arab/European/Native King/Queendoms etc. Racist mindsets are often the cause of confused "historians". Lol shame.

Gordon is correct. It's made up to look like text. I cannot remember what the plants are for, but some are stylistic of plants that were known. The women? I have no idea who or why as I have no memory of people in the drawings. I would look at it as either a child's botanical assignment or an art piece or both.

Honestly tho this documentary….. they could have done the carbon dating right at the start, why it had to sell all that other nonsense.. Then we would have 4 min of facts rather than 46min of bullshit?

I highly doubt that it is a hoax. I'm guessing that there are no mistakes as far as erasing a word then rewriting it because the person writing had to constantly look back at his encryption chart before writing most letters or symbols. I also believe that maybe its possible that some letters or symbols mean nothing or have no sound depending on the letter they follow or come before and this sorta explains why most the words are long and not short like seen in all other languages.

blah blah blah. Spoken by an ignorant. they can't even translate the writing and yet speak with authority. Its hilarious to hear BS after BS. Until you are able to translate then please speak. Otherwise, SHUT the F**K UP, MORONS! It doesn't take a PhD to see the book is about nature.

One should read the whole book and try to find the pattern in it.
Please publish this book online and lets see anyone can decode it or can give some idea to read it.

Isn't parchment is made from plant fibers? Isn't animal skin called vellum?

    NVM. I had it backwards.
