Ransomeware scams are nothing new, and in 2017 there have been quite a few that have seriously hurt a few businesses. However, there is a new one called nRansomeware that apparently locks your computer, and then asks you to send nude photoes in exchange for your computer’s freedom.

Someone please explain the point of nudes? Like, in general?
There's already so much porn in digital, photo, print, and whatnot.

Send some pics of Lena Dunham and you can be sure they'll never bother you again.

Yo, Jarbro! Digging this recent push of yours, from the content to the thumbnails; if it's not paying off yet, it's just about to. Trust me, I'm not just a pretty face, I'm a goddamned genius too. Humble as all fuck, to boot. But I digress.. keep up the good work.

Funny thing about this… it's a trip to prison waiting to happen… no tech job for you. What if the person they want nudes from… is a child? That's straight to prison territory.

The minute it said "We will sell them on the deep web", I immediately thought, this is totally the plot to a Black Mirror episode.

Might want to double check where you are getting that information on copyright.
Copyright takes immediate effect, no filing needed, once the work in question is converted to a deliverable medium, (e.g. digital file, notes on paper, etc.)

Sounds like some terribly unfunny joke. Nobody buys random nude pictures when the internet makes them freely available and there's no way they can verify.

Nude photos? There's plenty of them on the web, also I am sure that guy would have absolute no idea of what their victim would look like. If they haven't seen and or collect pics from the PC. Which the chance of real pics of their victims is actually lower.

I would go out of my way to track down one of those 8k cameras, so the 10 pics of my asshole would be super high res.

TBH if I did make ransomware I would ask for nudes. Basically the message would say, "pick a nude image to send from your computer, if your computer has no nude images of yourself there is a chance your computer may be locked the next time you attempt to start it." Then in reality it would just list all the image files on the computer, and any of them would unlock the computer and make the program delete itself. I would want people to send the nudes, but I wouldn't want to actually harm the computer.

Sure, I'll send nudes, my grandpa likes walking around his house pretty much naked anyway. You might want to get someone to help you forget those few muinets of horroer but you'll live…..with nightmares every night.
