Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

Cruise is joined by a cast including Annabelle Wallis (upcoming King Arthur, television’s Peaky Blinders), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World) and Courtney B. Vance (TV’s American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson) and Oscar® winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator).

The creative team on this action-adventure event is led by director/producer Alex Kurtzman and producer Chris Morgan, who have been instrumental in growing some of the most successful franchises of the past several years—with Kurtzman writing or producing entries in the Transformers, Star Trek and Mission: Impossible series, and Morgan being the narrative engineer of the Fast & Furious saga as it has experienced explosive growth from its third chapter on. Sean Daniel, who produced the most recent Mummy trilogy, produces alongside Kurtzman and Morgan.

The bad thing about this film is its so cringey especially in the end when the blonde bitch feel in love with the mission impossible guy. It just sound so fake and unreal. They failed to deliver the feeling of The Mummy 1999. The Mummy princess shows more love toward Cruise than that little bitch in the whole film. Another thing, a mummy film that is not setup in Egypt should not be called Mummy. The entire film is set-up in London wtf is this? Another James bond's move?

I liked this movie! At the end, when the dead Mummy is mummified again in mercury, its case looks so much like the classic Creature From The Black Lagoon monster did. Maybe that's the next Dark Universe movie?

I have seen some crap in my time, however,
I did enjoy Tom shooting the plastic spiders.
I did not quite understand how the 3000 yr old ropes still worked fine.
I did like how the helicopters only went as fast as the cars.
I really appreciated our (plump) Aussie actor friend, giving a spectacular Shakespeare performance,I wish I could get a paying job like that, sorry just adoration.
Finally.Tom,there are no people living in volcanoes and Trillions of years……..well yeh
    Best regards,
    Andrew

Having viewed the film it felt more like a generic action film to me. Next time focus on the Mummy, Egyptian culture and the horror more. Film was okay, it does not deserve the mauling from the critics.

it was a good movie. it shouldn't have received bad reviews. when people watch it they need to forget about the mummy in early 000s and look at it as a different movie

I saw this movie the other night. And everyone has their own taste in movies and we like what we like. But for those that have not seen it. Here are my reasons why I like this movie. I won't give any spoilers that will ruin the movie.
1- digital effects are awesome especially when the two riders are running with the sand storm behind them.
2- the connection between Nick and The mummy throughout the movie is really good.
3- the sense of humor is good, especially when Jenny sees the Mummy alive for the first time. Lol 😂
4- the fight scenes are well made
    5- awesome cast
6- the sets and shooting sites for the movie is awesome.
Here are the things I was not thrilled about. The movie did feel a bit rushed but some movies do not get as much film time like others. Nick's friend in the movie is funny to me but the second to last encounter between them was blah. Those are the only things I had a problem with the movie. Other than that, great movie, I recommend it to anyone that has the taste for Egyptian style, haunting, and doing what needs to be done for yourself. I hope this helps some people. Catch everyone later. I hope they make another movie and that Dracula Untold is connected to this universe in some way.

I gotta be honest here i've been a huge fan of the mummy movies for a long time and never thought they'd do a remake without its leading actor. I hate leaving bad comments but i thought the trailer to this sucked and how can they cast tom cruise when it first started with brendan frasier? I am not a fan of tom and frankly dont like him, i think he's to short lol but it is what it is he got the part to play the main character in the movie. Although i will care less about it, not just cuz in not a fan of cruise but i dont think the trailer was all that good. I couldnt even watch the whole video i think i stopped it around 2 minutes then i've had enough….sorry
