Why buy something that only works for a small subset of what you can do with a computer. You don't know what you're going to do down the line and many people don't have thousands of dollars to throw around. Better to just get something that can do everything so you don't have to buy another one just to do something you could be already doing.

I work in IT, here is what an iPad Pro can do, remote support, email, presentations, documenting, chat system with coworkers, file transfers and drive mapping, network monitoring, and believe it or not network troubleshooting… Literally I could replace my work laptop if I needed to but my work issued a laptop to me. So what I do use my iPad Pro for now is dual monitors for my work laptop, network design and flowcharts, doodling, and using it as a whiteboard with my coworkers on OneNote lol

How would your MacBook Pro have been obsolete just because they release an updated model? ๐Ÿค”

Been only using an iPad Pro since iOS 11 really. Loving work with it and do not want to go back to a โ€œfullโ€ computer…

I sold my iMac and have and havenโ€™t looked at a laptop in ages as my iPad has taken over. I sold my iPad Air 2 for the new iPad 2018 model as its spec bump to the a10 fusion chip along with 32gb storage (twice the storage of my iPad Air 2) & support for the Apple Pencil. Was a no brainier. Apart from a few differences the budget iPad is almost a pro in many regards. I donโ€™t miss my desktop or laptops as I get everything done on a iPad hassle free and with its instant on and great battery life its always there when you need it.

I just use the Apple Magic keyboard I permanently borrowed from my mom's iMac ๐Ÿ˜ but in all seriousness works really well! Been learning how to use Affinity Photo on iPad (can do some impressive Photoshop type work in there) and Luma Fusion for video editing is quite impressive TBH but still can't give up lappy

With regards to the battery life, I presume you are mainly using your iPad for taking notes, browsing the web and watching YouTube, hence the battery life is great. At the time you had your Macbook Pro, you were probably using it for more processor intensive tasks like video editing which drain the battery quickly.

When I use my 2016 13โ€ Macbook Pro for lighter stuff like browsing and typing in Pages, I can easily get north of 10 hours.

Anyway, I think your video is great!

    Cheers
