corny music degrades epic poem found 0n Old St. Pauls Church (Baltimore) in 1693. Some joker named  Max has worked like the devil to take credit for this beautiful and important work, and it's disgusting, and unpalatable. I would like to hear it read by Michael York or Pura Fe', a great Native American artist, musician, poetess. I love the idea of revolving scenes from nature, with the written word shown. Desiderata deserves better than some commercialized, slapped together presentation. I'm sure some of you will have ideas for better music (maybe flute), and better narrators. Please take up this challenge and do justice to this great work.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. ……… be cheerful (other versions say be careful, I believe it must be, be cheerful) strive to be happy. Truly, as far as I am concerned, this is the most beautiful poem ever written.

My sorrows left just by the first sentence of Desiderata.

There is a message in this poem for everyone.  It inspires a calmness  and confidence in me and I never tire of hearing it.
