I have returned to this so many times and it still gives me chills. "Women, made of moonlight, magic and macabre" will eventually be inked onto my skin

I can't see why men make fun of periods. How are bodies work is so beautiful and it should be celebrated. Our body can hold life. Tell me one man that can go through childbirth like a woman can. Women are stronger than a man in every way.

I've always really loved this poem. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and created a space for young girls and women to be comfortable enough with what they were blessed with: menstruation.

Us girls feel the need to hide our periods, and to be ashamed that we have them all because of society. That's messed up, if you embrace your period awesome for you!

This guy at school once told me "Girls shouldnt bleed because its gross and guys dont like it. Just hold it in it cant be that bad." I kneed him in the balls and said "girls dont like to see guys bent over in pain. Just tough it out, it cant be that bad."
