Eunice’s Dream: A Poem from Kibera School for Girls

Eunice is in 5th grade at the Kibera School for Girls, run by Shining Hope for Communities, and she is fiercely smart and creative. She lives in Kibera, Kenya, with her brother and parents, who grapple each day with the challenges inherent in urban settlements like unemployment.

Eunice has decided that when she gets older she will give back to her community: she will become a doctor who will serve the people of Kibera. She believes powerfully in her dreams.

Share Eunice’s dream online and find out more about the opportunities that education can give to girls worldwide through A Path Appears. Learn more at: www.apathappears.org.
