To the guy who made this video I made this poem for school im in 7th grade I hope you like it

I have to write a poem today because my teacher says I do
Iā€™d like it better if I didnā€™t have to
But I really need to get an A
Then maybe I can go out and play
Now I still have other things I want to do
    Like go to the zoo
    So I better hurry
If I want to see the things that look furry

Its a short poem and I was running out of time to do it and I came up with this in what like 7 minutes

this is how you make a rhyme not a poem. Poems are not rhymes. so please change the title to:
    how to make rhymes.

Let me behead the rhyme poetry, am sick of it. Read Bukowski, Billy Collins or Walt Whitman… They were pretty awesome.

I'm an amateur at writing so I'm not very experienced with writing epic poems, or even smaller poems for that matter. I would really appreciate some feedback on my content and a few subscribers. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer – epicilem

I attempted poetry in this fashion at school. The only people impressed were people who didn't read much.

All I know or think I know is that constant rhyming doesn't make a poem but exactly what it is -a rhyme. Also that a lack of rhyme makes it prose. Assonance is important and that it develops with effort and talent.
