true art and the true artist provoke an emotional response – this is true art, it literally stopped me in my tracks and made me shed a tear – a great protest song and a great piece of art – Thank you :0)

SheDrewTheGun. Louisa OMG I could not hold back tears this weekend. Only one other live act has ever done that to me. Your lyrics and subdued but intensely authentic stage presence brought me to tears this weekend. Fucking awesome! I left the tent (Cambridge Folk) exclaiming "that was fucking awesome, that was fucking awesome. Best 'performance' (though it was in no way a 'performance') so far." You were the absolute undeniable highlight of the festival for me. Thank you so much!

Tears here. Fucking hell I am so glad to have discovered this song. I will share it with young people I want to empower….this song tells the story of my broken yet hopeful heart.

The funny thing is you'll never hear this song on one of the big mainstream commercial music stations such as Heart or Capital. They wouldn't want people to hear these deep powerful and very truthful lyrics against the powers that be would they? They just play the same old music in the charts over and over and over again, ironically made by super rich music artists on super rich record labels.

If this song suddenly came on Heart at my work there would be complete outrage by the typical "I can only possibly listen to the same 10 songs all day every day, and everything else is complete crap coz it's not popular" narrow minded brainwashed idiots who can't see through capitalism. It effects everything. They are the same ones who admire the super rich and ignore the tramps on the streets. It's funny that this to me is personally the best piece of music lyrically I've ever heard in my life, but if this was suddenly played on mainstream commericial radio, so many people would just say those same 3 words.. "what's this shit?" without even giving it a proper listen, just because it's not Happy by Pharrell Williams which they've already heard a trillion times before. Yes of course, we should all just be happy with the way the world is shouldn't we? No, the world needs to wake up.

I was thinking about buying a ticket to Liverpool's Sound City this year, but wasn't sure, until I listened to this. The strength of this song alone ensured the ticket was bought 5 minutes later. Brilliant song.

The perfect love song, politics build foreign relations but prohibit foreign cohabitation.

Your album is replete with great songs but this one stands out… was not sure I liked it at first but on shuffle it sneaked under my radar… epic!
BTW my daughter told me about you lot, she enjoyed your gig at the Rough Trade shop last week.

What a powerful song, the narrative is absolutely necessary, but often times it's hard to make good music, that also embodies a great message. None of that is lost in this production. it's melody is catchy, its vibrant undertones come and go like kids playing hide and seek within the song, it's also a bit bubbly in parts but doesn't come across as a novelty, or campy. I really think this song was so beautifully crafted and should catch fire like dry grass being whipped by the wind. This song will surely be picked up by a network and make the group or artist a small boat load of money. Thanks for making such a quality product. Cheers

Protest song? Fucking globalists. Haven't got a scooby doo what yer protesting. Lol. Would be great to hear something different. Meaningful. Anti globalisim, anti establishment. But nah. Regurgitate what the main stream tells you. The blind will follow the blind.

All been said before but there are some people in Glasgow really digging this quiet ball of fury – this needs more exposure and will do all I can, mere amateur blogger but "poem" is up there with "A New England" or "Good Technology" so high praise indeed, even if yous were not even born when either of the chunes came out! Hoping to see SDTG live north of the border in 2017!
