Spark: A Visual Poem by Meghan Rienks

I learned a lot about myself and life in these last few months. I thought I would share some of these insights with you all.

We have a choice on how we live our lives. We can be defined by numbers and scores and things you write on paper. Or we can measure our worth in compassion, gratitude and things we cannot touch. I hope you choose to grow, to learn and to be your own spark.

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

When I first watched this, I was going through one of the hardest times in my life, and I cried so hard, I was 14, and having suicidal thoughts, and this helped, a lot. I'm nearly 16 now, and again, going through a hard time. Coming back almost two years later it still helps and makes me realize that everything will be okay, eventually. Thank you, Meghan.

This is amazing and beautiful. Lily, the editing is amazing and you deserve so much more credit than you get for your incredible talent. Meghan, please make more videos like this and the "what anxiety feels like" video. They are so relatable and inspiring and they truly make a difference for me and many of the other people who watch them. Thank you for this video. ❤️

thank you for making this. and your other depression and anxiety videos. I have them both and many more mental disorders and I was on the verge of jumping off the metaphorical bridge due to bullies at my school. I was going to do something drastic and I'm still contemplating but this definition made me think in a different perspective and makes me think. I love it and it helped me atleast for now. thank you Meghan for being so inspirational.
