Muito chique ! Grande Elvis, mas isso é uma homenagem a ele, não é ele que toca.

    What a beautiful poem.
    What a beautiful pledge.
To think there are some people
out here today that say he couldn't write, that he wasn't really talented.
I'm sure this poem can be put to song. I'm also pretty sure this isn't the only poem that was written by Elvis. Just imagine how many there must be in his archives!!!
Yes, Elvis can write, and after reading this poem and the story behind it, I'm sure he would've been a great songwriter as well. Elvis' talent was embedded deep within him, when he sang, the emotion behind each word came from deep within his gut. You can not just hear it, you could feel it.
RIP Dear Elvis. May God Bless your Beautiful Soul!!

He was a tender-hearted man who loved the Lord.  What a beautiful pledge.  Thank you for sharing it.

Did Elvis really wrote this poem? What I've learned is that he could not stay still to write anything, except of course his speech ( a very short one) for the JAYCEE awards night of TOYM.

Just watched this video again, and am thinking Elvis wouldn't be too happy with Billy that he talked about their private moments. I hate when they dwell on Elvis taking so many pills. Why don't they tell of all the good things he did to help so many people ? Elvis gave so much of himself, but seems they have all forgotten these stories. All the fun times they shared, when things were going along great, but when Elvis was down and out, and needed help, seems like no one cared. Billy was around the most at the end of Elvis' life, but I guess no one could get him out of his deep depression, maybe if Priscilla would have come back to him, and he had his family back, that would have helped him. Sad to think how alone Elvis felt at the end.

Thank you for posting this MissEleane. It is beautiful and when I read the reason behind "the pledge" it made it even more beautiful. I can really believe Elvis bein upset just thinkin that he betrayed anybody's (Billy's) trust.
