Tolkien said that the best power of Saruman is his voice, with his voice he can hypnotize and control who hear him.
Cristopher lee is the best for making the Saruman voice, no doubt

So great to hear him reading this.
It sounds like it was written for him since the beginning.

    Holy shit.

I thought Galadriel did an amazing job narrating this part at the beginning of the fellowship but this is insanely sinister and gives the movie a much darker beginning.

    That was chilling.

For future generations, this is the only trailer a parent will ever need to get the kids to pay attention to Lord of the Rings.

He was absolutely perfect as Saruman. Too bad he kind of got axed in Return of the King (the first version didn't show him at all, but there was a take where he's killed by Grima) and Lee was rightfully pissed. Seriously, how could they establish Saruman as this major villain and then just end it with… nothing? The final Shire arc would've bloated the movie to at least four hours, so I understand why they cut that part out and decided to kill Saruman off in/on Orthanc.
