If I lived in the north, these tips would be useful….Our winters are too warm for such clothing… but I'll take a look at her blog.

Maybe not. I am confused! why is the presenter wearing thin cotton shorts with bare legs, with a top which has a high neck, and long sleeves? What is the weather like when this video was shot?

Just because you call it "classics" doesn't make it so. Sorry, but that's true.

I feel like I'm choking in a turtleneck. I like pants that are less form fitting. Scarves are a good idea, but my choices for scarves are very different. Wearing a poncho on a plane? Maybe while sleeping, but otherwise it would restrict my movement. Her choices are so different from mine. That said I realize that each woman has different likes.

Great! Please keep mentioning the brand names, as quality is hard to find these days, and for the basics it's worth buying higher-end if it's well-made.

Enjoying your channel Beth. I also love the Tennis Sweaters you are showing here. I am wondering if the ones you have shown are from Ralph Lauren? It is not easy to find quality Tennis Sweaters anymore and the two you have shown appear to be of good quality Thanks for sharing such lovely, timeless Classic Clothes for women..

I have a question. I love the look of a crew neck or V-neck pullover sweater over a long button down shirt. However, I am large busted and slim hipped so I feel like I look better in an open cardigan and shirt. I don't feel quite so top heavy. Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

Really superb video Beth, the choice of garments are great I 'm certainly going to put some of those to use, however, wouldn't it be better to show more images of similar items than so much chatter? Im over 50 who craves style inspiration.

I loved this video! I'm almost 37 and feel as though I don't know how to dress for my age. I know the title said "style over 50" but I love these items! I've subscribed to your channel. And I love my blanket scarves! I also love the history you give for the pieces.

I really enjoyed your video and history info. Excellent ideas for Fall outfits! Hard to choose a fave but I love your scarves and the Chelsea boots. I actually live in Chelsea in London. The famous street is the "Kings Road" and the borough is the only Royal Borough and named "Kensington and Chelsea". Some borough parts are just "Chelsea". The Swinging Sixties then the Seventies Punk era made Chelsea more famous. Sorry if I bored anyone by going off-topic! Like other commenters, I'd love to see how you accessorize. Cheerio x

So happy to have found you! So many "older" Youtubers of our age dress ridiculously, as if trying to mirror the way their daughters dress. I do hope the legging trend leaves once again, though. Thanks for showing classy, timeless pieces.

Great choices however in California we have mild falls, usually warm ones. Any chance of doing the 10 essentials for a warm fall day? I will usually switch over to a lightweight 3/4 top round or v-neck with casual pants or a midi/maxi dress with boots. We don't need jackets just light sweaters. Just hoping you could put together some things like that that are made from Ralph Lauren, Caslon, etc.

So delighted to find you on You Tube! I have followed you for the months on Instagram and find your style inspiring. Last year I decided to stop dying my hair and go grey and I kept a photo of your hair as my daily reminder of where I was headed! Thank you for being brave, stylish and true to who you are.

Want to wear turtlenecks so badly but have short neck and they just don't flatter. The cashmere does look so yummy.

Enough with the designer name dropping and "preppy" stuff, this is more about you and your personal style than a help for a sane workable wardrobe. Leggings, seriously? Tight leather pants? Well, you got to showcase yourself so I suppose you feel a level of success with that, in fact, you have outdone yourself. Vanity!

Great video. I'm putting faux leather leggings, a puffer vest, and a pair of Chelsea boots on my shopping list. I love scarves as a quick way to dress up an outfit.
